About this Event
Recovery Enterprises Scotland is delighted to announce the launch of a recovery café on 1st November within the Howard Centre, Kilmarnock.
We are reaching out to invite all along to share in this key development and celebration. This will be an opportunity to hear the vision and ethos for the café in providing low cost quality home cooked food and creating a holistic hub, supporting the needs of all community members.
We will raise awareness in how this approach can complement current structures and enhancing pathways of support requiring collective engagement.
The recovery café model has been made possible, which we are extremely grateful, to funding support from the Alliance Scotland, The National Lottery and Firstport in sharing our vision of supporting the community.
As part of café implementation, volunteers have been engaging in a range of training activities in supporting skill development, confidence and team building. The volunteers being extremely passionate about supporting their local community, whilst demonstrating recovery is achievable, offering hope and inspiration to peers. Volunteers are keen to share their experiences and the positive nature in being involved and creating peer support networks.
We do hope you are able to come along to show your support, and engage with the café on a regular basis. We are encouraging partner projects and services to promote support available, along with gathering feedback from attendees, in helping to shape a family inclusive holistic approach.
The event will commence at 3pm with teas, coffees and soft drinks being served followed by a finger buffet.
This is a free event, and no requirement to reserve a place, though to assist with catering we would be grateful if people can register.
